Gangster Anmol Bishnoi, brother of jailed criminal Lawrence Bishnoi, is being brought back to India from the United States, where he was reportedly detained last year. He is a prime accused in multiple high-profile cases, including the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique and the firing outside actor Salman Khan’s residence.
Sources said the deportation process has been completed and that Anmol has already boarded a flight to India, which is expected to land in Delhi around 10 am on Wednesday. His return marks a major breakthrough for Indian agencies attempting to dismantle the Bishnoi gang’s expanding international network, believed to be operating from North America.
Reacting to reports of Anmol’s extradition, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are not going to spare anyone who is against the country No matter where the accused is, the government will do the work of searching for them and
bringing them back.”
Speaking to reporters, NCP leader and Baba Siddique’s son Zeeshan Siddique said the family had registered as a victim family with the US Justice Department, enabling them to receive updates about the case.
"We have been registered as a victim family in the US, so from the victim notification, we get updates about Anmol Bishnoi," he said. "Today we received a mail saying the federal government has removed Anmol from the US as of November 18, 2025."
Zeeshan appealed to both the Centre and the Maharashtra government to ensure Bishnoi is brought straight to Mumbai for custodial interrogation. "My request is to bring him back and ensure he is interrogated and arrested, because he is a real threat to society," he said.
He also underlined the need to identify the larger conspiracy. "It is very important for us to know who asked Anmol to do this. Someone must have directed him. We are still awaiting justice. It’s been more than a year."
