Srinagar: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha said that the attracting the foreign tourists to Jammu and Kashmir will be an immediate outcome of the G20 summit being held in Srinagar on Tuesday. He said that the G20 delegates will act as ambassadors to present Jammu and Kashmir as peaceful tourist destination.
 
Mr. Sinha said this while interacting with media persons at the Raj Bhavan auditorium. He said that Jammu and Kashmir was ready to host an International event of any magnitude.
 
He said that J&K was ready for the future as it was witnessing tremendous growth.



Mr. Sinha said that 18 million tourists visited JK last year which is unparalleled since independence. "This year the number will be more than last year," he said adding the new film policy and ease of doing business has changed Kashmir as a favourite film destination.
 
Mr. Sinha said that under the supervision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jammu and Kashmir has marched ahead on the path of peace and development. He said the era of hartals and bands in Kashmir is history now and people are eagerly participating in democratic processes.
