Fuel concerns spark work from home debate on social media in India

The ongoing geopolitical crisis in the Middle East and the resultant fuel crisis have triggered discussions on social media platforms like X, on Work From Home (WFH) as a necessity.

With several countries, including Thailand, Vietnam and Philippines mandating WFH and four-day work weeks for their employees to curb national fuel consumption, a



lot of chatter related to this has become active on Indian X.

A large number of social media handles are talking about the possibility of a fuel shortage, potentially making the daily commute challenging. Tech-based media handles on X have started opinion polls on whether India should declare WFH for corporate employees to tackle fuel disruptions.
