Polling is being held today for the fourth and final phase of the Urban Local Bodies elections in central Kashmir districts of Srinagar and Ganderbal amidst tight security measures. 

Voting, which began at 6 AM, will continue till 4 PM. With many candidates elected unopposed and a number of segments not receiving a single nomination, voting is being held in only 36 of



the 132 wards. Earlier, eight municipal bodies spanning across six districts - all in Kashmir valley - were scheduled to go for polls today in the final phase.

In the first phase, the Kashmir Valley saw 8.3 per cent polling, while the poll percentage in Kashmir dropped to 3.4 per cent in the second phase, while it was 3.5 per cent in the third phase.
