Former convener of Aam Adami Party Punjab has resigned from the primary membership of the party; addressing a press conference in Chandigarh, he said, he is not opposed to the appointment of Bhagwant Mann as Punjab party president but is annoyed on the humiliating procedure that was adopted to remove him. He said he is not ready to work under Mr Mann. 

Warraich said he had advised party to bring back some senior leaders but no heed was paid to his advice. He also said that there were a lot of complaints against leaders from Delhi and he had forwarded these to the party high command. However, he said no action was taken on any complaint. Gurpreet Singh said that he is resigning through media and would submit the resignation in written if



required.

After only two days of announcement of MP Bhagwant Mann as Punjab president former convener Gurpreet singh Warraich showed his resentment and resigned from primary membership of the party. He said that he will remain in politics but not in Aam Adamy party. MLA Sukhpal singh Khera had also expressed resentment and resigned as Chief whip of the party. 

In another development Bhagwant Mann expelled Upkaar singh Sandhu from the party . He was the party candidate for Amritsar Lok Sabha Byelections. In a major development BJP is claiming that 11 MLAs of Aam Adami Party are willing to join BJP where as Bhagwant Mann has refused it and claimed that they will show their unity by visiting Golden temple all together.
