Flood situation continues to affect normal life in Madhya Pradesh ,Rajasthan , Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.  In Uttar Pradesh, flood situation continues to be grim in eastern parts and Bundelkhand region . Over hundred villages have been submerged in flood water and large number of people have taken shelter in different relief camps of flood affected areas. The NDRF and flood companies of PAC have been engaged in relief and rescue work at various flood affected areas. Necessary relief materials are being provided to the flood affected people.
In Bihar, flood Situation is still critical in 12 districts including Patna, Vaishali, Saran, Buxar and Bhojpur districts of the state. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is monitoring the situation. Over 4 lakh people have been affected during current spell of flood.
Diara areas of Patna, Vaishali, Bhojpur and Saran are the worst affected. Police have been instructed to patroll the areas which have been abandoned by people due to migration. Food



packets are being distributed among flood affected people through boats. Fifteen thousand people have so far been evacuated. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has directed deployment of officers from neighbouring districts to streamline relief and rescue operations. Schools situated near banks of river Ganga have been closed for two days in view of flood threat. 
In Rajasthan, most of the rivers are in spate in Chittorgarh, Jhalawar and Baran districts. District administration at various affected places are engaged in relief and rescue work .
In Madhya Pradesh, relief works have gained momentum in Bundelkhand and Vindhya regions as rainfall subsided in these areas.
In Odisha, a fresh low pressure over the Bay of Bengal has spread panic among people. The MeT office said under its influence, more rainfall would occur in several parts of the state from today. It issued warning of heavy rainfall at one or two places in the coastal districts in the next 24 hours.
