Flight to Sri Lanka Makes Emergency Landing at Chennai

The pilot of a plane going from Vietnam to Sri Lanka made an emergency landing at Chennai airport as the plane developed a mechanical snag when it was flying at a height of 36,000 feet on Tuesday.

The pilots immediately contacted the Delhi control room and sought permission for an emergency landing. Following instructions from Delhi, the airport authorities of Chennai airport made immediate arrangements for a safe landing. The plane landed safely at around 10.40 pm on Tuesday.
