Fiscal prudence must never compromise operational efficiency: VP Dhankhar

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar remarked that fiscal prudence and frugality must never compromise operational efficiency. Addressing the Indian Defence Accounts Service (IDAS) probationers of the 2022 and 2023 batches in New Delhi yesterday, Mr Dhankhar urged probationers to never create problems in the disbursement of pensions of ex-servicemen and suggested always ensuring financial integrity in their careers. 

He added that being in service of Bharat, home to one-sixth of



humanity, is a blessing. Speaking on financial discipline, the Vice President asserted that the lawful route of integrity is the safest. He also stressed the need for strengthening family ties, promoting indigenous knowledge, and fostering inclusivity. Mr. Dhnkhar emphasized the importance of security from a position of strength and stated that the security of any nation is fundamental, and recommended the probationers to always put the nation first.
