Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan said quality rice would be supplied to the public at a lower price from August 1. 

The Deputy CM said that quality rice would be made available to the people by civil supplies department. BPT Superfine rice would be sold at Rs 52 per kg, and raw rice at Rs 50 a kg. 

The NDA coalition government has taken this decision to



benefit the commoners, said a post by the Deputy CMO office on X.

According to the post, the Deputy CM said he welcomed the civil supplies department's decision to provide fine rice at a cheaper price, to make it affordable for the common people. 

From August 1, special counters would be arranged at 130 rythu bazars and 500 rice millers to sell fine rice at a lower price.
