Lucknow: The process of filing of nominations for the seventh and final phase of assembly election in Uttar Pradesh will begin today, with the issuance of notification.

In the final phase, 54 assembly constituencies, including 11 seats reserved for Scheduled Castes and two for Schedule Tribes, spread across nine districts will go to polls on 7th of March.

The nine districts where polling will be held in the seventh phase,



include Azamgarh, Mau, Jaunpur, Chandauli, Gazipur, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra and Bhadohi.

The last date for filing the nomination papers for the seventh phase is 17th of February. Scrutiny of papers will be undertaken on 18th of this month and the last date for the withdrawal of candidature is 21st February. The counting of votes for all seven phases will be taken up on 10th of March.
