Father Allegedly Throws 11-Month-Old Daughter Into Yamuna river, Agra

In a tragic incident, a man allegedly threw his 11-month-old daughter into the Yamuna River near Sikandra in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. 

According to reports, the couple and their baby were travelling to Agra on a motorcycle to buy clothes for the child’s birthday, which falls on August 17. 

On the way, near Akbari Bridge, the man, identified as Rinku, reportedly told his wife, Lakshmi, that he wanted to take a selfie with their daughter.

While



taking the selfie, Rinku allegedly threw the baby into the Yamuna. When Lakshmi questioned him, he reportedly tried to push her into the river as well. She raised an alarm, following which locals rushed to the spot and rescued her. 

Lakshmi told locals that Rinku frequently quarrelled with her over their daughter. She alleged that although he had recently been pretending to show affection towards the child, he committed the shocking act. Further details regarding the baby and the investigation are awaited.
