Farmers Group Urge CM To Begin Land Acquisition For Bidadi Project

A delegation of farmers belonging to Byramangala and Kanchugaranahalli, villages to be affected by the proposed Bidadi Township project in Bengaluru South district, came forward with a request to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to part with their lands for the project and made an appeal to him to issue final notification to begin the land acquisition process at the earliest.

acquisition for Bidadi project and asserted "they will not part with their fertile farm lands."

It may be recalled here D.K. Shivakumar, a couple of days back, kept two-options before the Bidadi vicinity farmers to part with their lands accepting Rs 3 crore per acre or 50 percent of the area back as developed land. The delegation met D.K. Shivakumar in Vidhana Soudha of Bengaluru on Tuesday wanted the Chief Minister to free them from the 'Red Zone’ tag.
