A family in Tenali finally received a ration card after waiting for nine years, following the intervention of the Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar.
The family head, Mekala Chinnama, had been making repeated visits to government offices, requesting officials to issue a ration card, but without success. Due to the absence of the card, the family was unable to avail benefits under various
government welfare schemes.
During the minister’s recent visit to Tenali, Chinnama brought the issue to his attention. After verifying the details, the minister immediately directed officials to process the application.
Within hours, the ration card was issued, and it was handed over to the family at their residence, bringing an end to their long wait.
