Explosives Seized in Vijayawada, Police Hunt for Suspects

The Krishnalanka police seized 46 gelatin sticks and 50 electronic detonators. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.

According to the police, Asif Ali, a native of Uttar Pradesh, travelled to Vijayawada from Narasaraopet. 

After reaching Vijayawada, he found that the bag he had carried on the bus had been replaced with another passenger’s bag. When he opened the bag to check its contents, he found what appeared to be explosives inside. Asif Ali immediately alerted the



police at the bus stand outpost, following which the police took possession of the bag and its contents.

The Krishnalanka police are examining the details of all passengers who travelled on the bus and checking CCTV camera footage to identify the person who may have left the bag behind. 

The police are investigating where the 46 gelatin sticks and 50 electronic detonators were being transported from and to, and who was behind their movement. They are also making efforts to identify the suspects involved.
