New Delhi: A delegation of 154 former judges, civil servants, armed forces officers, diplomats, and intellectuals has demanded stern action against those trying to vitiate the atmosphere in the country under the garb of protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

In a representation to President Ram Nath Kovind, they said, self-serving elements, in conjunction with a section of civil society, have embarked upon a malicious



campaign of disinformation to mislead the innocent Indian public, especially the youth and a section of minorities.

After meeting the President the delegation member, former Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court, Justices Pramod Kohli said. Meanwhile, Yog Guru Swami Ramdev has slammed those protesting against the CAA saying that a country is not run from streets but through Parliament.
