Eight Engineering Students Killed in Keralam Road Accident

Eight people, believed to be engineering students from Tamil Nadu, were killed after the car in which they were travelling collided with a stationary lorry at Panambikunnu in Kaipamangalam, Thrissur district.
The accident occurred around 11.40 pm on Friday when they were reportedly travelling from Guruvayur to Kodungallur. The impact was
severe, leaving the car completely damaged. Police reached the spot and retrieved the bodies.

Seven people died on the spot, while another succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at a hospital. The deceased were reportedly residents of Dindigul in Tamil Nadu and were pursuing engineering studies. Further details are awaited.
