ECI team visits Assam to review preparedness for upcoming assembly polls

A team of Election Commission of India (ECI) is visiting Assam to review preparedness for the assembly polls scheduled to be held in the state this year. The team held a review meeting in Dibrugarh last night on assembly poll preparedness with the Deputy Commissioners, District Election Officers and Superintendents of Police (SP) of Upper Assam. The Chief Electoral Officer of Assam was also present during the review



meeting. 

 

The ECI team will also hold a review meeting with Deputy Commissioners, District Election Officers and Superintendents of Police of Lower Assam and Barak Valley in Guwahati this morning.

 

They will also meet Assam Chief Secretary and other senior officials of the state government in the afternoon for discussion, on preparedness for forthcoming assembly elections.
