Bengaluru: In Karnataka, Deputy Election Commissioner Ajay Bhadoo from the Election Commission of India held a review meeting in Bengaluru yesterday on the arrangements being made for the Assembly elections in the State.

The candidates for the assembly election can start filing their nominations from tomorrow, and the senior officer from the Election Commission saw the arrangements being made for the same.

Chairing the meeting with senior officers of Karnataka Chief Electoral Office in Bengaluru, Mr Bhadoo also sought information on the deployment of officials related to election and the progress made in the SVEEP activities to



educate voters about their rights.

Information was also sought on EPIC card distribution, polling booth status, EVM training, enforcement of election Model Code of Conduct and the law and order situation in the state.

Mr Bhadoo also witnessed the arrangements being made for postal ballot, use of IT in elections and district-level nodal officers functional readiness.

He also held meetings with Bengaluru city municipal corporation Chief Commissioner and other officials responsible for election work in the 28 assembly constituencies in Bengaluru.
