ECI allots Glass Tumbler symbol to Jana Sena for 32 assembly constituencies in TS

Vijayawada: The Election Commission has allotted Glass Tumbler as the symbol for the Jana Sena in 32 Assembly segments from where it intends to contest the upcoming polls in Telangana.

The ECI directed the chief electoral officer of Telangana to instruct the returning officers to allot Glass Tumbler to the candidates fielded by the registered and un-recognised political party, JS.

Jana Sena leaders say that though they have applied for allotment of the party symbol for 32 Assembly segments in



TS, they might contest only in about 7-14 segments and nearly three Lok Sabha segments.

The ECI also allotted the symbol of Bucket to the Jatiya Jana Sena for its contest in all 119 assembly segments across TS.

However, the ECI made it clear that the symbol allotted to a political party shall also be available for allotment as free symbol to other candidates in the segments where the said political party was not setting up its candidates.
