Earthquake of 3.1 magnitude jolts Himachal Pradesh, tremors felt in Shimla

An earthquake of magnitude 3.1 on the Richter scale was recorded in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla on Tuesday. 

The quake was reported at 4.38 pm with its epicentre at a depth of 5 km north-east in



Shimla, according to the National Centre of Seismology (NCS).

The depth of the moderate-intensity quake was 5 km.

So far, no reports of any damage have surfaced.
