Drunk Youths Sleep In Jeep Parked In Lake, Wake Up To Rising Waters

Two youths stopped their jeep in a lake and fell asleep inside the vehicle while they were in an inebriated condition in Tamil Nadu's Dharmapuri district. 

The incident took place near Kumarachetti village in Marandahalli.

According to reports, the two youths drove the jeep into the lake when the water level was low and fell asleep. However, the



water level rose following overnight rains. 

The youths woke up to find the water had reached thigh level around their vehicle. 

They immediately sought the help of locals, who alerted rescue personnel. With the help of a proclaimer, the jeep was pulled out of the lake. 

The youths were rescued safely.
