External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will pay an official visit to Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina from 22nd to 27th of this month. This will be the first visit to the South American region by External Affairs Minister. During the visit, Dr. Jaishankar will meet the top leadership of these countries and his counterparts.
 
External Affairs Ministry said, Dr. Jaishankar will inaugurate the premises of the newly opened Indian Embassy in



Paraguay. In Brazil and Argentina, External Affairs Minister will co-chair the Joint Commission meetings with his counterparts.
 
He will also interact with business leaders and the Indian communities in these countries. The Ministry said, Argentina and Brazil are strategic partners of India and Dr. Jaishankar's visit will provide an opportunity to explore new areas of cooperation in the post-pandemic era.
