The popular pilgrimage destination Simhachalam now has a double-decker bus service, extending the city’s electric tourist bus operations to the hill shrine.
Tourism department officials announced that the service began on Thursday, adding that the extension aims to enhance both tourism and pilgrim convenience.
Originally introduced as a
tourist attraction within Visakhapatnam city, the electric double-decker buses will now transport visitors directly to Simhachalam.
Officials said the service will be highly beneficial not only for city tourists but also for devotees visiting Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple (Simhachalam Devasthanam), offering them a comfortable and scenic travel experience.
