In a bizarre medical case from the town of Narasaraopet in the district of Andhra Pradesh, doctors removed a collection of 14 pens, 5 wooden spoons, and a candle lodged inside a woman's stomach in a surgical procedure recently.

As per reports, the patient in question was a resident of Petluripalem village and had been suffering from severe abdominal pain for two days before her family rushed her to Mathashree Private Hospital in Narasaraopet.

When doctors scanned and examined her abdomen, they were left stunned, with the scans showing the above-mentioned objects inside her

stomach.

A team of surgeons led by Dr P Ramachandra Reddy performed a complex laparoscopic procedure and successfully removed all the objects safely. The case triggered widespread discussion over how so many items ended up inside her body, or whether she swallowed them herself or was forced to do so by someone else.

If she ingested them on her own, doctors suspect an underlying psychological condition may be responsible. This kind of unusual behavior, where people consume non-food items, is known in medicine as pica syndrome, a condition that drives some individuals to eat objects with no nutritional value.
