Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar yesterday emphasized that the three Ds- demography, democracy, and diversity are the three key pillars that define the soul of New Bharat. Speaking at the convocation ceremony of the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) in Mumbai, the Vice President noted that these pillars encapsulate the very essence of India’s identity and its aspirations.

Referring to Operation Sindoor, carried out by the armed forces, the Vice President said that Bharat has sent a strong global message that we will no longer tolerate terrorism. He affirmed that the nation has made it clear that it will



eliminate terrorism and dismantle its roots.

Commenting on the recent decision by the Government of India to include caste-based enumeration in the upcoming decadal census, the Vice President stated that this step will help fulfill aspirations more equitably, foster equality, and mark a significant move toward social justice.

Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Anupriya Patel, congratulated the graduating students and highlighted the Ministry’s achievements, including the successful eradication of diseases like Trachoma.
