Delhi Police Issue Notices To X Accounts Over Posts on PM During Protest

Delhi Police have issued notices to several X (formerly Twitter) account holders over allegedly abusive and objectionable posts targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led protests against the alleged NEET paper leak. 

According to police officials, the notices were served after authorities reviewed social media activity linked to the protests, which witnessed widespread participation by students and activists demanding action over the examination



controversy. 

Investigators examined posts, videos and comments shared across multiple platforms to identify content that allegedly violated legal provisions related to offensive or unlawful online communication.

Officials said the account holders have been asked to explain the posts under investigation. The police are examining whether the content breached provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act. Further legal action will depend on the responses received from the users and the findings of the ongoing investigation.
