Delhi Police, in coordination with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and other allied agencies, conducted multi-agency mock drills at key Metro stations across the national capital as part of security preparedness ahead of the BRICS Summit 2026.
The exercises, conducted on Thursday (September 10), were aimed at assessing and strengthening the preparedness of security and emergency-response agencies to deal with potential security threats and emergencies,
including simulated terrorist attacks and unattended-baggage incidents.
The mock drills were conducted at Jama Masjid, Supreme Court, Dhaula Kuan and IGI Airport Metro stations.
At Jama Masjid Metro Station, a simulated terrorist attack involving two attackers was carried out. At Supreme Court Metro Station, the exercise involved a simulated terrorist attack, followed by a coordinated response, apprehension or neutralisation of the simulated attackers and evacuation of casualties.
