The Delhi cabinet has approved a subsidy of thirty thousand rupees for installing three kilowatt rooftop solar panels. This decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta yesterday. Mrs. Gupta said that this decision supplements the central government’s 78 thousand rupees subsidy under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. Mrs. Gupta informed that the Government has also launched a Dust Control Plan to Combat Air Pollution. 

Under this plan, the Cabinet has approved to deploy 250 Water sprinklers, 70 MRS Machines



integrated with 210 Water Sprinkler Machines and Anti-Smog Guns, 18 Dump vehicles and 18 water tankers before winter. Mrs Gupta said that the cabinet has approved the proposal of the Directorate of Education to reinstate the name of the scheme, namely, Lal Bahadur Shastri Scholarship to Meritorious Students, in place of the Chief Minister Scholarship for Meritorious Students. Mrs Gupta highlighted that the Delhi Government is committed to providing Clean Energy, Clean Air, and Quality Education to its citizens.
