Delhi Court Allows US, Ukrainian Nationals To Travel Home For A Month

A Delhi court on Thursday allowed US national Matthew Aaron VanDyke and six Ukrainian nationals, who were arrested earlier this year in a case investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), to travel to their respective home countries for a month, subject to certain conditions.

Special NIA Judge Prashant Sharma of Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Courts allowed applications seeking permission to travel abroad and



directed that the seven foreign nationals' passports be released to them.

VanDyke has been permitted to travel to the US, while the six Ukrainian nationals—Hurba Petro, Slyviak Taras, Ivan Sukmanovskyi, Stefankiv Marian, Honcharuk Maksim alias Maksym and Kaminskyi Viktor—can travel to Ukraine to meet their families. The seven, who have been granted default bail, were in judicial custody at Tihar Jail.
