Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked during a public grievance hearing on Wednesday morning at her residence in Civil Lines in the national capital.
According to sources, the incident took place during the weekly ‘Jan Sunwai‘ programme when a man in his mid-30s entered, allegedly handed over a paper to the Chief
Minister, shouted, slapped her, pulled her hair, and abused her.
The individual was identified as 41-year-old Rajesh Bhai Khimji Bhai Sakariya, a resident of Gujarat’s Rajkot.
He was later arrested, and the Delhi Police were verifying the details of the accused with assistance from the Gujarat Police.
