Deep depression over Arabian Sea intensifies into Cyclonic Storm Biparjoy

Regional Meteorological center Mumbai has informed that Deep depression intensified into the Cyclonic Storm “Biparjoy” over east-central and adjoining southeast Arabian Sea. Fishermen are advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea for deep-sea fishing. It is moving nearly northwards and intensify into a severe cyclonic storm during the next 24 hours.

It is moving at a



speed of 5 Kmph and the storm is about 910 km west-southwest of Goa, 1030 km southwest of Mumbai, 1110 km south-southwest of Porbandar, and 1410 km south of Karachi. Squally wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph is likely over adjoining areas of west central & south Arabian Sea and along & off north Kerala-Karnataka-Goa coasts.
