Death toll in Ratnagiri dam breach incident rises to 18

In Maharashtra, the death toll in the Tiware dam breach incident coastal Ratnagiri district has risen to 18 with the recovery of three more bodies last evening.

A police official said, at least five more persons are still missing.

The



dam, located in Chiplun tehsil, breached late Tuesday night following torrential rains in the coastal Konkan region.

Police and the National Disaster Response Force, NDRF are conducting search operations.
