A woman, declared dead in the police records, appeared before the cops in her village in Madhya Pradesh?s Burhanpur district to help release her father and brother, accused of murdering, from jail, officials said on Thursday. 

The young woman who had gone missing from her village of Khaknar on April 24 took the police by surprise when she appeared at the Khaknar police station late on Wednesday night to testify that she is alive while filing a plea to release her father and her brother, accused in her ?murder?, from the



jail.

?Sir, I am alive, please release my father and brother?, the woman, identified as Shivani, pleaded, police said on Thursday. 

According to Khaknar police station in-charge, Abhishek Jatav, Shivani had gone missing from her village on April 24 and the missing report was filed on May one.

During the course of investigation, it was found that a youth, identified as Arjun, hailing from her village, was also missing,leading to suspicion that the girl might have eloped with him.
