Director of the Development and Research in Banking Technology (DRBT) A S Ramashastri said cyber criminals are adopting new techniques and ingenious methods to steal data. He said the phenomenon is rampant in several developed countries. 
Speaking at the workshop which was jointly organized by Truth Labs and Microsoft in Vijayawada yesterday, he emphasized the need for strong system that utilises the technological brilliance with which anything is possible. Not just the person or any individual but there are high chances that government departments fall prey to them.

‘Handling Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) based Cyber Crimes’ opined that Internet Crime Threat Assessment report in 2015-16 indicated that cyber crime is becoming increasingly aggressive and confrontational. Until and unless there is a collective effort from the concerned departments it will be increasingly difficult to tackle the threat of the crime.
