In Gujarat, the counting of votes for local body polls in 6 municipal corporations, 56 municipalities, 31 district and 230 taluka panchayats will be held today. The counting will begin at 9 am.

Average 48 percent turnout was recorded in six municipal corporation elections held on 22nd of last month. Two seats one each in Surat and Vadodara have been won by the ruling BJP unopposed. During the second phase polling on 29th November, average 62 to 65 percent turnout had been recorded for District, Taluka Panchayat and Municipalities. More than

More than 19 thousand candidates are in fray for District Panchayat, Taluka Panchayat and Municipalities. 27 candidates in municipalities, 7 candidates in District Panchayats and 54 candidates in taluka panchayats have won unopposed.
