College Student Kidnapped in Bhubaneswar, 4 Arrested for Rs 50,000 Ransom Demand

In a swift operation, the Bharatpur police in Bhubaneswar rescued a college student who had allegedly been abducted and arrested four educated youths for demanding a ransom of Rs 50,000 for his release.

According to police, the victim, a student of a private educational institution in the city, was kidnapped by the accused, who allegedly demanded money from his family in exchange for his freedom. 

Acting on a complaint



lodged by the student's relatives, investigators launched a coordinated operation and successfully traced his whereabouts.

The student was rescued on Tuesday evening unharmed, while all four accused were apprehended during subsequent raids.
