Cockroaches Found in Cafe Coffee Day Display Counter in Jaipur

In a Cafe Coffee Day outlet in Hawamahal, Jaipur, coffee and muffins are apparently served with a hint of cockroaches. Well, we were just as shocked when we saw this video, allegedly filmed at the outlet by a customer.

Nikhil Anand Singh, the customer, alerted the employees immediately when he observed unhygienic practices in the outlet. Singh allegedly filmed the presence of bugs in the refrigerated display counter, and the employees' apathy towards it. One of the female employees, instead of apologising for the unhygienic conditions, filmed him back and even slapped



him.

Singh tweeted his video, tagging Cafe Coffee Day and the Indian Consumer Complaints Forum. It has been two days since the tweet and neither CCD nor the consumer forum has replied to him yet.

Upon interrogation,this is what the organisation said:

We are aware of the recent issue at our Cafe Coffee Day outlet in Hawamahal, Jaipur. We have escalated this issue and we are in talks with the consumer and the internal café team to ascertain facts. We will take the required action without compromising on our endeavour to deliver quality products and services to our patrons.
