Cobra Rescued after Getting Trapped Under Truck Tyre in Odisha

In a rare and dramatic rescue in Bonai, Sundargarh district of Odisha, a large cobra was saved after it was found trapped under the tyre of a dumper truck. 

The incident occurred when the driver of the truck suddenly felt resistance and stopped near the roadside to check the vehicle. To his astonishment, he discovered a cobra partially stuck beneath one of the tyres.

Local members of the Snake Helpline alerted. Upon



arrival, the rescuers determined that the snake had likely slithered into the chassis area and become entangled, rendering it unable to escape. 

Despite repeated efforts, the distressed cobra remained tightly coiled and uncooperative, making the task challenging. 

However, after hours of careful handling and the use of specialised equipment, the team managed to free the snake without causing it any harm.
