Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday launched the construction of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s Inderlok-Indraprastha Metro Corridor at the Sarai Rohilla Metro Station construction site.
On the occasion, construction of the diaphragm wall began at Sarai Rohilla Metro Station, marking the first phase of this important project, said an official statement.
The Chief Minister said that
the Delhi Metro is not merely a mode of transport but the foundation of a developed Delhi, adding that the continued expansion of the Metro network is a historic step towards providing citizens with safe, fast, convenient and environment-friendly public transport.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, modern, world-class infrastructure is being rapidly developed across the country.
