Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to organise the Godavari Pushkaralu 2027 on a grand scale, combining spiritual significance with nature worship while ensuring world-class facilities for devotees. 

In a review meeting conducted with officials on Tuesday, the Chief Minister suggested branding the festival as “Akhanda Godavari Pushkaralu” and involving local communities in its organisation. 

The 12-day Pushkaralu will be held from June 26 to July 7, 2027. Officials estimate that 8–10 crore devotees may participate, compared with around 4.86 crore during the 2015 Maha



Pushkaralu.

Noting that only 10 months remain for the Pushkarams, he said all works should be started expeditiously and completed on time. 

He made it clear that there should be no compromise on quality. Officials informed the Chief Minister that the Finance Department has already allocated Rs 899 crore for these works. 

Most of the works pertain to Urban Development, R&B, Water Resources, Power and Panchayat Raj departments.Of these, 1,869 works are being taken up in East Godavari district, 625 in West Godavari, 1,501 in Konaseema, 426 in Eluru, 321 in Kakinada and 190 in Polavaram district.
