Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday expressed grief over the death of three pilgrims from the state in a road accident near Aurangabad in Bihar.
The bus, carrying 46 pilgrims from Nellore district, collided with another vehicle on late Sunday, leaving three persons dead on the spot and 15 others injured, according to officials.
"Deeply saddened by the tragic accident involving pilgrims from Nellore district in Bihar, in which three people lost their lives. My heartfelt condolences
to the bereaved families," Naidu said in an official release.
The chief minister reviewed the situation with officials and enquired about the medical treatment being provided to the injured passengers. He directed officials to coordinate with the Bihar government and ensure all necessary assistance to the victims. Naidu also instructed authorities to make arrangements for the safe return of the pilgrims who survived the accident to their native places. All the injured pilgrims admitted to the hospital are currently in stable condition, it added.
