Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday said that nearly 73 lakh pattadar passbooks (land documents) will be distributed by March 2027. Addressing a public meeting at Banaganepalle village in Nandyala district,
Naidu alleged that the previous YSRCP government had included the land of the people it disliked in the 22-A list (government lands list) to "create disputes and grab land."
The previous government had included nearly 2,100 acres of land belonging to
the Waqf board in this list, he claimed. The ruling government has removed lands included under 22-A to help farmers, he said. "By March 2027, 72.7 lakh pattadar passbooks have to be distributed.
The target of the coalition government is to make Andhra Pradesh free of land disputes," Naidu said. He alleged that the previous government had brought forth a "black law called the Land Titling Act to grab people's land and create fear," and said that the coalition government had rescinded it on coming to power.
