CJP Demands Clarity on Education Minister Pradhan's Resignation

Activists of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Saturday said they would be forced to take a "tough stance" if the Centre failed to clarify its position on the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Speaking to reporters, CJP activist Ashutosh Ranka said a meeting with Union Ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh had been constructive, but no decision had been taken on the party's main demand for Pradhan's



resignation.

"Yesterday's meeting yielded a positive response regarding compensation and legal matters, reaching an in-principle agreement. We hope to receive that written agreement today. 

However, no concrete decision has been made regarding our main demand--Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation," Ranka said. He said media reports suggested that Pradhan would not step down and urged the government to state its position clearly.
