Civil Defence Mock Drills were conducted across the country including 11 districts of the National Capital Delhi on Wednesday. The district controller, other district officials, civil defense wardens and volunteers, Home Guards, members of NCC, NSS, NYKS, and students from schools and colleges all actively participated in the exercise. Prominent locations including Rashtrapati Bhawan, North block and South block, Bengali Market, Khan Market, NDMC, Palika Kendra, IGI Airport, and Delhi Cantt were used for the operation exercise. As part of the mock drill, different parts of the national capital witnessed 15 minutes of blackout to assess its preparedness

In Telangana, Civil Defence Mock Drill has been held at four places in Hyderabad as part of the Operation Abhyas. Personnel from multiple civil defence services participated in the mock drill at the designated places as part of the nationwide exercise to test and strengthen the country’s preparedness. The mock drill was conducted at Secunderabad, Kanchanbagh, Nanal Nagar and Nacharam NFC Area. Officials said the civil mock drill was conducted after 54 years.

The Civil Defence Organization of Central Railway yesterday successfully conducted a comprehensive mock drill at Mumbai’s iconic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. According to an official press release, the drill simulated various critical scenarios to test the effectiveness of safety protocols. One of the key elements was the activation of air raid sirens, followed by a demonstration of how citizens can ensure their safety by adopting proper precautionary measures, including the correct technique for assuming a lying down position to minimize risk during such alerts.      

In Nagaland, Civil Defence Mock Drills were conducted across all 10



designated Civil Defence Districts-Dimapur, Kohima, Mokokchung, Wokha, Zunheboto, Mon, Phek, Tuensang, Kiphire, and Peren.
Simulated air raids and coordinated civil defence responses were staged at key locations statewide. At 6:30 PM, sirens were sounded for two minutes, followed by a “Black-Out” exercise, during which power was cut off for five minutes.

In Manipur, the Mock Drill- Operation Abhyaas was held in multiple locations of Imphal, Tengnoupal, Churachandpur, Ukhrul and Bishnupur districts today.  In Imphal West district, the drill simulated the scenario of an air raid and featured air raid warning sirens, public address announcements by the police, fire engine sirens, blackout protocols and rescue operations. 

In Rajasthan, a comprehensive civil security mock drill is being conducted in 28 cities including the capital Jaipur. People were alerted by sounding sirens from the control rooms. A blackout is also being done in various cities. It has been advised to keep the lights and electrical equipment switched off during Blackout. . 

In Ladakh, in line with the National Advisory, a mock drill was conducted in Kargil district at the Council Secretariat Kurbathang and Dyaangoochae Minjee. The exercise was organized under the supervision of the Union Territory Disaster Response Force (UTDRF) and the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA).

In Bihar, the civil defence mock drill was successfully conducted in seven cities of six districts this evening. Total blackout was observed with the initial warning sound of siren in Patna, Purnea, Katihar, Kishanganj , Begusarai and Araria district. In Begusarai the drill was undertaken in Barauni and Begusarai.
