CI Dies of Heart Attack During Secretariat Staff Protest in Vijayawada

A Circle Inspector deployed on bandobast duty died after suffering a heart attack during a protest at Dharna Chowk in Vijayawada on Sunday, however police have registered a case of suspicious death. 

As per reports, Shaik Ahmed Ali, Circle Inspector of Nunna Police Station, was deployed on duty at Gandhi Nagar, where village and ward secretariat employees had gathered for an agitation. 

According to police, personnel were attempting



to detain and shift the protesters from the site when a scuffle broke out between the agitators and the police. During the altercation, CI Ahmed Ali was allegedly pushed by the protesters and reportedly fell.

Constable Sudhakar, who was present at the spot, stated in his complaint that the CI subsequently developed breathing difficulties and suffered a heart attack, leading to his death. He alleged that the stress during duty and the scuffle led to the cardiac arrest.
