Union home minister Amit Shah will arrive at Chennai airport on Wednesday night to take part in the conference of South Indian Chief Ministers to be held at Kovalam near East Coast Road on August 20.
The airport has come under a strong security cordon with the deployment of more security personnel and police for the arrival of the Home Minister and the Chief Ministers.
The airport authorities held a meeting with the
officials involved in VIP security, Central intelligence, Tamil Nadu police and CISF personnel to discuss the security arrangements. The Home Minister will arrive at 7.40 pm on Wednesday where he will be received by the officials.
He will go to Kovalam by road and stay at Fisherman Cove on Wednesday night. He will preside over the meeting of South Indian Chief Ministers on Thursday and come to Chennai airport to take a flight to Delhi at 3.45 pm on the same day.
