Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep shock and grief over the road accident in Kurnool district that claimed eight lives.
Reacting to the incident at Chilakaladona, where a tempo vehicle collided with a lorry, the Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families.
He reviewed the situation and gathered details about the mishap, which occurred around 3:30 a.m. when a vehicle carrying pilgrims from Karnataka
was on its way to Mantralayam.
Officials informed that all eight victims died at the accident site. Around 10 injured persons are currently receiving treatment at a local area hospital, while those critically injured have been shifted to Kurnool Government General Hospital for advanced care.
The Chief Minister directed authorities to ensure the best possible medical treatment for the injured and extended his heartfelt sympathies to the families of the deceased.
