The government will soon come out with a new Eduction policy to promote quality education in the country. Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani said, views and suggestions of various stakeholders including Education Councils have been taken to prepare the policy. She said, the Committee set up for the purpose will submit the Draft Policy within 15 to 20 days.

Mrs Irani said, the HRD Ministry will launch a web portal - Bharatvani shortly which will contain various subjects ranging from teaching to learning in 22 Indian languages. She said, next year the facilities will be extended to one hundred languages.




style="margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;">Mrs Irani also said, six research parks are being set up through Indian Institute of Technology in the country which is double than the research parks set up during 2004 to 2014.

The HRD Minister said, the aim of the Ministry is to impart quality education to the students and to make it affordable. On the issue of suicide by a research scholar in Hyderabad University, Mrs Smriti Irani said, the issue was politicized. She said, the aim of her Ministry is to ensure that the Universities are not used as a tool for political purposes and remain temple of learning.
