Centre Govt Forms Committee to Solve Telangana and Andhra Water Disputes

The decision follows a meeting held on July 16, 2025, between the Union Minister for Jal Shakti and the Chief Ministers of both



states. 

According to an Office Memorandum issued by the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, the committee has been formed with the approval of the Secretary, Ministry of Jal Shakti. 

The Chairman of the Central Water Commission (CWC), New Delhi, will head the committee.
