New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a high-level meeting in New Delhi yesterday to review the progress in the construction of various infrastructure projects on the northern border areas. 

During the meeting, he called for expediting all pending projects on top priority. Mr. Singh said that the whole of nation approach should be adopted in matters of national security. He said, the government has decided to set



up a committee of Secretaries that will meet at frequent intervals to fast-track the pending projects. Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Power Minister R K Singh, Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh among other attended the meeting.
